WHAT IS STRESS?

Our life is full of goals, success, achievement, competition, win and lose. Automatically stress come along with all these.
Stress have adverse effect on our health.
. Release of stress hormone adrenaline and cortisol from adrenal gland. 
. It increases blood sugar level in our body.
. Increase in blood pressure.
. Increase heart beat rate.


HOW DIET HELPS TO FIGHT AGAINST STRESS?

Having a balanced and healthy diet we can overcome our stress. A good diet manage physiological changes in our body that are caused by stress.
Adrenal gland is influenced by blood sugar the first aim of diet is to control or stabilize the sugar level in blood. 
Instead of junk food we should have healthy food to nourish our body and relief from stress.
 There are many food item that help you to overcome your stress let see some of them.

DARK CHOCOLATE

Adding a dark chocolate in your diet can help you to fight against stress in two ways by its chemical impact and its emotional impact. 
Dark chocolate is rich in antioxidant and can help in fighting against stress as it lowers the level of stress hormones in our body. 
But have only small amount of dark chocolate to ignore its side effects.


CITRUS FRUITS

Citrus fruits like orange, lemon a rich source of vitamin C. Taking vitamin C 500 mg per day  can help in reduce in stress level.
Amongst all orange is the great stress booster food and can be helpful against anxiety.


MILK

Milk is a great source of vitamin D and other nutrients.  Vitamin D can be helpful in reducing the risk of stress. 
Before going to bed having a warm milk can be helpful in reducing stress and helps you in good sleep that is management of stress.


SALMON

Salmon is a fish that contains omega-3 fatty acids these fatty acids are useful in mood management.
Adding  salmon twice a week in your diet can help you reduction of stress.
Fish can boost our heart health and prevent heart disease. Fatty fish can help us to deal with depression as it can easily interact with mood related brain molecule.


NUTS

Nuts are rich source of vitamin  B, Nutrients and Fatty acids. Vitamin B can helps us to manage stress level in our body.
Almonds, pistachios and walnuts can help in lowering the blood pressure.
Having the whole nuts can protect us from heart disease, strokes and depression.
Flaxseed, walnuts are also rich in omega-3 fatty acid.


LEAFY GREEN VEGETABLES

Leafy green vegetables are rich source of magnesium. Magnesium helps in regulating cortisol and blood pressure. 
People with low magnesium can have the problem depression and stress.
It helps us to absorb vitamin D which can help in happiness.
