HOW TO IMPROVE GUT HEALTH?

 INTRODUCTION

The gut health or intestinal health is directly depends upon what we eat.
Gut microbiome means microorganism living in our intestine. 
There are many varieties of microorganism( virus, fungi, bacteria) lives in our digestive tract some of them are harmful but many of them are very important for our gut health.

The food we eat needs proper digestion gut absorbs nutrient from food and provide energy to our body.
The gut helps in boosting immune system and protect us from infection.


Problem arises due to unhealthy gut

It will affect our immune system
Gastrointestinal disorder
In some cases it cause cancer
It disturb our mental health
Unhealthy gut leads to autoimmune disease.

To make our gut healthy we have to take care what we eat.

WHAT MAKES OUR GUT HEALTHY?

BANANA

Banana is rich in fiber thus helps in reduction of bloating.
It contains insulin that stimulates the growth of good bacteria that is very important for our gut health.
Banana helps in diarrhea and vomiting it restore lost electrolyte back into our body.


GUAVA 

Guava is commonly known for improving our stomach health by our grandparents. 
It is good source of vitamins and fibers.
Seed of guava is very helpful in aiding smooth passage for stool.


INDIAN SPICES

Indian spices like ginger, turmeric, garlic, chilly and many other spices are very helpful in digestion.
They helps to get rid from  harmful bacteria.
Indian spices also do not harm good bacteria of our gut.


DARK CHOCOLATE

Dark chocolate contains polyphenol, it provide energy to gut microorganism.
It  helps in maintaining cholesterol level and blood pressure.
It also helps in inflammation as it consist anti-inflammatory properties.


YOGURT

Yogurt is one of the most important food item for our gut health.
It contain lactobacillus bacteria known as good bacteria that strengthen our digestive tract.
It also decrease potential harmful enzymes that are produce by resident bacteria.


WATER

Keeping our body hydrated is very beneficial for digestion as it breaks our food into smaller pieces.
Water makes stool softer and helps from constipation.
It also helps in eliminating harmful bacteria that cause gastrointestinal infections.


GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES

Green leafy vegetables are good source of fiber that helps in developing ideal gut microbiome.
The sugar present in green leafy vegetables provide energy that helps in growth of healthy gut bacteria.
Spinach, broccoli, kale are very helpful in improving gut health.


AVOCADO

Avocado helps in promoting digestion thus useful for our gut health.
It contains fibers and micronutrients that promotes growth of healthy bacteria.
Avocado also helps in anti-inflammation.


WHAT TO AVOID FOR HEALTHY GUT?

ALCOHOL

Alcohol degrade the growth of healthy gut bacteria that disturbs our gut digestion.
Drinking lots of alcohol result in liver and stomach ulcer.
Alcohol also damage the mucus cells of stomach that protect our stomach from acid so very harmful for our gut health.


FRIED FOOD

Fried food lead in bloating problems.
It promotes gastrointestinal disorder.
Fried food is also unhealthy for our overall health.


CONCLUSION

From this blog we conclude that gut health is very important for our healthy life. Almost all health problems start from stomach if our digestion is proper our mostly health problems solves there only. But if our gut is not healthy our immune system become weak which results in poor health and our body will not fight proper against disease and infections.
Have proper diet and ignore unhealthy food for better health.
